This one started as a doodle of a doughnut then morphed into a straw-hat-wearing-folky-man...and a doughnut.
doodle day
Last night I downloaded a random (and of course free) drawing app onto my iPad mini (an awesome Christmas present from my dear ol' mom and dad). It's was so much fun to mess around with while I was watching terrible TV! I think I've found a new time-sucker!
happy easter
Happy bunnies and chocolate eggs day!!!!
I hope you are all having a wonderful, pastel Sunday. It's gorgeous here in Chicago, The Man and I are having a great home improvement weekend, including a Friday afternoon trip to IKEA and a failed attempt at donating to Goodwill (I forgot Goodwill is a religious company and that they would be closed on Easter Sunday).
Here are my festive Easter nails!
Talk to you later!!

Bunny faces and eggs hiding in the grass.
This is the first year in a long time that I haven't had an Easter party. Every year I normally bribe my friends with beer and food, and make them paint eggs (occasionally against their will), I always have a blast, but this time it just came too fast!! Last Monday it snowed and now it's in the 70's, I'm in too fragile a state to host any sort of festivities this weekend ;)!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone!Talk to you later!!
mani monday
Good Monday to you!
I hope everyone had a splendiferous weekend. Saturday was sunny and warm, I wore a tank top! Now it's back to fluffy winter coats and the threat of snow, but the weekend was a nice reminder of the months to come.
Today my nails are simple mint and black, with a little neon bling.

We got home from babysitting last night at 9pm, and my tired hands were a little shaky.
Wobble triangles are all the rage right now, didn't you know? ;)blogaversary
Happy 3 Years!
This past weekend was this blog's 3 year anniversary, so I just wanted to pop in and say…
Thank you for continuing to come back, even though, more often than not, I leave you with nothing new to see.
I really appreciate your support.
Have a wonderful week y'all.
wild ones / typhoon nails!
Tonight Tonight!!!!
I'm so excited for the show tonight!
Wild Ones and Typhoon are playing at the Metro here in Chicago tonight and I'm so excited I can barely do my work!
I went to high school with two of the members from Wild Ones and I haven't seen them play live since back in 2005 (about 3 bands ago - they were called Family Tree back then). That fateful December night in '05 at Clinton Street Theater was also the first time I saw Typhoon (which I've recently learned was their first show). So needless to say, I can't wait until Tonight! (pins and needles over here!)
It's going to be a fantastic show, so on Tuesday night I painted my nails to commemorate the occasion:

I was a little bummed this morning when I woke up to take these pictures and it was so overcast. Without natural light the pictures turn out a little grainy, but you get the idea...
If you don't have anything to do tonight and you live in Chicago, you need to come see these bands play. I promise you won't be disappointed.
